This is a WordPress Plugin to add Last.fm grid to your WordPress site.

This plugin does exactly what it says on the tin. This is a WordPress plugin that creates a 3×3 grid of album art from your recent Last.fm top artists/albums. I created this in about 2 hours on a Sunday night because I couldn’t find a plugin that already did this for free. If you find this helpful, please consider buying me a coffee.

How do I use it?
- Download the plugin here.
- Upload/Install the plugin to your WordPress admin.
- Activate the plugin.
- Add the shortcode to your website where you want the grid to display:
[show_lastfm_3x3_grid size="medium" period="1month"]| username | This is your Last.fm username. Your profile must be publicly accessible. (This is now in the WP Admin settings as of plugin version 1.1) |
| key | This is your Last.fm API Key. You must register for one here. It is free for non-commercial use. (This is now in the WP Admin settings as of plugin version 1.1) |
| size | This is the size of the album art. Accepted inputs: small, medium, large |
| period | This is how far back the API should search to generate the results. Longer search periods will take longer to generate. Accepted inputs: overall, 7day, 1month, 3month, 6month, 12month |

Does this plugin auto-update?
No – this plugin is not submitted to the wordpress.org plugin repository and so it does not auto-update. There is no telemetry or call back system. You will need to check my blog or GitHub for occasional updates.
Can I do X? Will you add feature Y?
Probably, and no, in that order.
I created this plugin for my own use and I’m sharing it in case it helps someone else. I’m not looking to make money on it or add 50 different features.
It isn’t showing a 3×3 grid!
Last.fm has a lot of album art, but is not perfect, especially if you listen to a lot of indie music or your own mp3 files. All the data comes from last.fm – sorry!
